Salinity Tolerance of Different Silage Hybrids Maize Cultivars

Since corn is sensitive to salt and saline irrigation water, soil salinity poses a serious threat production. Therefore, it important know in advance the response of cultivated varieties stress order not lose too much In this study, was aimed determine (NaCl) thirteen commercial silage maize hybrid commonly used by farmers Türkiye. For purpose, seed germination early seedling growth were tested exposing plants different levels (0, 40, 80 120 mM) for 14 days. Three basic groups (Biomass, Seedling Growth Vigor Seed Germination) established factor analysis (FA) nine parameters -seed percentage (sgp), mean time (mgt), shoot lenght (sl), root (rl), fresh weight (fw), dry weight(dw), matter (dm), plant water content (pwc), vigor index (vi)- growth. As result two-way variance with heterogeneous on standardized scores; determined that 'Dekalb-7211' cultivar showed best performance "Dekalb-7240" worst terms three main formed. The results research will contribute determination stress-tolerant varieties, which one first steps breeding.
